How to upload video into my Mac? - vhs c into wonderful tool for teaching about slave resistence.

I bought a mini DV camcorder, allowing me to upload videos directly to my Mac
What is the best way to put all my VHS-C on your computer?
They said they could run through my new camera, but it sounds like a lot of wear in the new unit of Mini DV.
Is there an inexpensive device that can hardly be the device with the old VHS-C load in connection to connect?
I will also buy a separate hard drive just for video.
